We were able to rake some beds yesterday, unfortunately not together, as our schedules won't allow that through the week. In the herb and perennial beds, I noticed some winter kill...Due to the extreme low temps, prior to a thick layer of snow, some of them just plain dies, will have to wait for a few days for some sign of life, Let me know and we will discuss possible Flower recovery methods...sometimes you can save a few, other times..well you can't  |

 I will be going out in a little while to work on our flower bed along the sidewalk..am letting it go wild this year. I had lot's of Pansy's that seeded them selves over the last 2 years. Real nice little flowers. Not as big as the one's I had started with.

Almost all our bulbs came up a blooming in mid Feb. As for some of our summer flowers they are sprouting up thru all this clay... We had some glads that got bit a little by the frost because we didn't have enough straw on em but most survived.. Wildflowers are starting to bloom also... Pretty here in Tennessee.................................... |

 Some stuff is comming to life now that it can breathe..did some raking the other day & cleaned out the flowerbed..now Im going to plant some seed's in there..just mix em up & see what we get..  |

I planted about a 100 crocus, 75 grape hyacinths, a dozen tulips, not to mention all those daylillies. The front flower beds look nice this year and will look great next year.
Part of that was with my Christmas money. Next year I am going to plant elephant earsand calla lillies. I just love how they look. I have a nice shady spot to plant them in.
The batchelor neighbor has a butterfly bush I want some of as well. I wonder if he needs another loaf of banana bread.
Bribery has been known to grease the wheels.

Ares are bloomed and wilted away already... Summer wildflowers are sprouting blooms.. Candy tuft and Glads and Iris's.... Roses are starting to bloom too

We have Tulip's..5 so far..red & yellow.. The seed's in the bed by the side-walk are comming along nicely..I think I am going to have alot of pretty flowers in there this year.. |

Got it raked out but the wind here is blowin stuff all over..temp's are'nt too bad..
