I love it Jeanette! I've been whining to Ken that I want a dishwasher. I told him you got one for Christmas, and now I want one. His answer to me was..... "Who the heck is Jeanette, and what makes you think just cuz she got one, you need one?" Ah well I keep whinin'! Sqeeky wheele gets the grease! Dap, I can't wait to see your new kitchen! As you can see I don't have any photos posted yet..I'll try to get them up tomorrow.

the new ones are a lot better than you think, i don't rinse my dishes at all, in fact i try to come up with little tests for it... this time refried beans!! since it cost around 700 bucks, thats with tax, instilation, and removal of the dinosaur i had before, every one has kind of taken an interest in keepin the kitchen clean..

We are in the process of redoing the whole kitchen. We bought a fixdr upper here near the commercial district. Its not too bad but needs lots of tlc. The project that I am working on right now is building my own island. I bought at a thrift store a low small chest of drawers. It has three deep drawers and is made of solid wood. We (my daughter and I) had to repair all the drawers. They look brand new now. I painted it candy apple red and put a slightly larger board on top for the counter. At the Habitat for Humanity Store here I bought tiles for 10 cents a piece. They are off white. Even bought the trim there. All told I have an island that holds tons of stuff for less than twenty dollars. This is definitely one I am proud of. It looks great. People ask me often where I bought it. I am going to paint a scene on the back facing the dining room. I have an orchard theme going in the kitchen. An apple tree sounds good to me.

One of many projects this summe and fall is to finish the kitchen. A dishwasher is #2 on the list. I cant wait to get mine. I am going to run the water out to the garden. #1n on the list is new counter top(cheap) from the habitat store. # three is finshing the open shelving I have going for the top cabinets. The list is very long if you include all the rooms in the house.

Iv'e been spending alot of time in the kitchen these days. I do alot of the cooking while I'm laid up.. We have a very large kitchen in an old farmhouse.
The kitchen has over 30 cabinets and 10 drawers.
We decorate Hodge Podge... the kitchen showcases some of our collectibles..chefs, campbell's, big boys, and tins. Yes it looks like a country kitchen. If I ever figure how to post pictures I will, but i'm still new on this computer.

This is my kitchen before our remodel. It was a terrible kitchen! When we looked at the house, to buy it, I walked right back out when I saw the kitchen! It was dark and orange! We are still working on the kitchen, as you can tell by the back wall,it nbeeds painting.
