So....how did the cotton do? (yes I know it's an old post ) I had a couple plants here in zone 6b 2 years ago, they made about 10 mature bolls, each with a bunch of seeds. No wonder they had to invent a machine to remove seeds, it's time-consuming!

I guess last year would have been a good year for cotton here. Lots of hot days. Last year was my time tho, to abandon the old garden spot that had become so full of bermuda grass and shrink my efforts down to a few containers. I think I did OK considering. No room for cotton tho. I grew brown-fibered when I had it here. Kind of a dark khaki-colored fiber but who knows what shade of cloth that would make. I traded off the seeds on a Yahoo group, haven't heard back. Maybe they planted them at least.
