I've tried every store and brand around here. Not every store even has it, mostly just preserves with the seeds. I want the kind they put in a jelly doughnut. I guess it could be fake, I'd better not dig too deep.... you'd do good buddying up to Laura... dunno if we have any to spare.. As far as I know, the kind in a jelly donut...is like the store bought strawberry goo they sell for shortcakes..it IS fake... probably best ya don't look at the ingredients Rock

I was afraid of that, oh well. I'll just get a jelly doughnut from time to time and live in my little dream world for a moment, lol. There oughtta be a law against fake jelly, that's just going to far.

Raspberry. Not jam or preserves. Clear jelly with no seeds. This time of year I know your supply must be getting lower, so don't worry about sending me any. I was mostly just complaining about the lack of any here locally. I wonder if I get some everbearing raspberry plants if they would bear at all this coming fall? Next year, more likely.

I made raspberry jelly last year it turned out great. I however did not make very much..If we find berries this year I will more then likely make more. I do De-seed it also.. I have never made a lot of stuff until Phil & I got together.

My thornless blackberries are blooming, as of yesterday. Won't be long now, come on summer!

Due to a lot of bumble bees around, now I've got blackberries! Small and green, but berries all the same. First blooms on tomato and peas too.

Now they're getting a little size to them. I predict I'll get a few ripe blackberries before the end of June....

"Knock on wood", I haven't seen any Japanese beetles yet, but they usually come out here about this time, before the blackberries are ripe. I pick a lot of them off the vines and the rosebush, pole beans etc. Hopefully they will leave me some berries.

The beetles are here tho not as bad (yet) as some years. The first ripe berries are starting to trickle in too.

Well, I did finally find some raspberry jelly I like. I need to go out to the blackberry row I have left and do some clean-up work. Got a lot of poke and morning glory growing in there, plus old vines. I got pretty ill and weak in March, just when the buds were thinking about coming out. I haven't done any work other than picking part of the berries and breaking over some 4-ft high poke stalks, all summer. I would be ashamed any other time, but when you can't go, you just can't....
