Merry Xmas to you too.
I am going to go to youngest son's for dinner. I will be there 2 nights. See my new house to move in to. Snow today and I hate that pass in bad weather. He will come get me as getting the stove and dryer for the house and they are at Sears ready for pickup. They wanted to much to deliver. He will get my little chest freezer and haul it too and boxes what ever room in the pickup. I am not cooking dinner this year. Too many boxes.
DIL bought a turkey so that is what we eat. She said I could do the rolls. I boght two kinds of rolls. Cottage and brown and serve. Maybe if I get at it I can make cinnamon rolls. He could use in his lunch. I have to go Monday to get another blood test. That will be 2 this month. 2 late Nov. Ins did cover the two in Nov. I am back in the safe range last time but have to check if too much medicine now. As one increased it a pill a week and I think it was the soy oil in the calcium I was taking. I sure want off that extra pill I would like off all of it. No hope of it. There will be no sweet potatoes as DIL does not eat them . Son and I do. I can only eat what is allowed on this diet. Hard to eat out. I will take some stuff with me in case. Just in case as hae to watch the Vit K. Too much or too little can get me.

Today is Jan 20th, 11 more days til Feb. I want to start some oregano and ground cherries on the 1st since they might take longer. Then I will seed some peppers. I hope I can wait for the 15th of Feb to start tomatoes, that's still 8 weeks or better, pushing it a little.

Hi, Colorado~ Yeah, I still look in from time to time to see what's new. I have a couple posts in gardening about my plants for 2012. Waiting for more settled weather to work outside on a little rock polishing and pottery firing. 70 degrees here yesterday and 40 mph gusts. High today will be in the 40's they say, so...still wild unpredictable weather.

I am up here in borther western Colorado now and still have stuff to move up here when the weather get good. Pass is not great but been open.
No rock stuff here. I need to get a shed on the place but have to wait till son moves his off of my back yard. I want my greenhouse up here. He said it coudl be moved. We will see.
I want to have a little garden here. But with buying town water that is not cheap I will need frames around the beds. Community garden rents plots for like $50 with river water. 10 x 10 my son thought but have to be able to drive to it. They fert it and till in spring.
Things are high in this town and we go to big city once a month. We did bring a few more boxes of stuff up last time, but no trailer on that pass way it is. We had been having open winter and very little snow and now getting more snow. I need to get my seed up here next time. I will need to make frames around my beds to to conserve water. Can't really do raise beds due to costs but like some do with tilling and set a frame. I do not have my car here and abaout had quit driving. Just to the store and doctor in the town. Here I walk or can call the bus to take me. Good senior service here.
This being alone here. Son next door but see very little of him. This is a used modular that was moved in. Bare yard of dirt and there is one elm tree out front. Lawn goes in warm weather this spring. He will put in a sprinkler system. Will not leave much room for beds. I been thinking I may on the south encroach on his lot beside the drive he does not use for any thing. LAwn will be about 5 feet wide on the south and then there land between that and his drive. HAs to have room of course to plow snow. Oy back I will have some flat at the alley and I was thinking I will have to bring up my level to make the frames set level so water will not just pour to one end? This new to me. level the frame and soil with in too.
Family dollar store here just jumped their canned cheap veggies 30%. They were same price as down there. Grocery store is high too. Bread and milk. I started baking rolls and cinnamon rolls and share with the the kids. I go with them to city. Doctor I go on the semior bus. Grocery store is half mile and I walk and can carry now carry a gallon of milk. Have to go on Wed as store give off 15% to seniors. The first couple times were hard. I use my walk for usefully things if I can.
I will got to garden thread and see what i can say there.

I guess it will take a while for you to get all settled in. Sounds like you are staying in shape tho, carrying a gallon of milk that far.

I carry the milk only 1/2 mile. I could call and use the senior bus. I need to get stronger in my upper body.

Senior center had the mother's day dinner the Friday before and kids took me to eat there. Roast beef , mashed potatoes and gravy, salad which was lettuce about and I could eat and cake. Very nice and kids could eat there and pay for being under 60.
They me a hydranda and it is still blooming good. Takes a 1 1/2 cups of water per day. They had to come water it while I was gone those few days.
My son's birthday in a couple days and he is working out of town for this month.

The weather here has settled into about the same pattern as last summer. Hot and dry, then some more hot and dry. So "today is" the start of another hot summer. I read on yahoo something about a 50% chance this will be an el nino year. I'm just not clear on what that means to us gardeners.
