I am looking for a way to prepare radishes. I have for several years grown the variety "French Breakfast". They grow fast and are mild...BUT now I have increased problem with my dentures so I used a blender the other day to liquify a few roots. Looking for a way to have the machine do the chewing, so I can still get the benefit of the fresh veggie that grows fast, etc. I tried several things but none have been really successful so far. Added vinegar and sugar to make a slaw of sorts, no go. I added mayonnaise to a small batch- edible but not really tasty. I plan to just add a little of the slurry to a tossed salad and see what it tastes like. If I cut the lettuce up right I can make a salad and add the equivalent of 2-3 roots to that. I would appreciate any tips or ideas for using radishes other than biting hunks off a whole root, not for me, not any more. Anybody ever boil them?
