Rain has been in short supply for us here. Several days with the 20-30% chance, etc. but no actual rainfall accumulation in my rain gauge. Heat is back in the low 90's for the coming week so I guess I will be putting out some water on a regular basis. Still, it's better to have a well-drained situation than a boggy garden that rots off the roots. I have lots of green tomatoes I'd rather they get steady water to ripen without splitting...

Well I see yesterday evening another tomato is starting to change color. Soon I hope to be covered in ripe ones or at least have so many I don't have to stare them down, lol. "A watched pot never boils", that's how I feel...maybe we'll get some of that rain they keep talking about, might help.

You can see here my tomato plants are reaching the top of the frame I made to tie them to, 6 ft. Peppers are in the front row of buckets. The back row of tomatoes are all in 18-gal totes. 4 cukes are wedged in with those back tomatoes, can't really see them for the peppers. in the middle of the pepper row is a bucket with 2 dwarf tomatoes, a yellow cherry and a red. Yellows are just starting to turn.

My garden stuff will not grow. Something wrong. One hot pepper I thought would die has a peppe or two on it and the plant is not 6 inches tall. Others maybe 6 and not growing and tomatoes not that tall. Loosing dark green color too. Bean about 6 inches and not growing and the other ones coming up. I have never seen anything act like this stuff. One water melon has started to growa bit but not more that 4 inches tall.
Your plants look so good.

Thanks. They get a few minutes of attention in the mornings, a little water then too if it's scalding hot like 98 today. I pull the tomatoes when they show some red so they don't scald, rather leave them on but better than no tomatoes. I've been eating one every day, sometimes two but they are getting ahead of me. I got a separator to get rid of seeds and skins, now the GF wants them peeled and diced for chili. I should be glad I'm able to do it and quit griping, lol.

County agent thinks either too much salt in the garden or not enough nitrogen. But he took soil tests. Have to wait and see. Sure not growing. I will water hear what but I had planned to quit after today. Just wasting water and it costs. Yeah said the bed should be level full and so on. I have a frame around the beds to keep the water in. Save water.
I have been driving this artic cat to the community garden last few days and have some planted there. Made down there and back yesterday without getting lost over there. I helped Lisa pull a few weeds and pile the branches that came down in wind. Not much and small. Wind hit in there one night. Blew over a table. My plot I and not worked it. There are 3 more plots that are full of weeds. No one showed up for them. Long as B/P is not too low I can I cana lean over. Too low it hits me coming up. I am on low side. Normal for me.
I have had to have 3 Blood tests this month and have get another this coming week. Too thin. Local Dr is managing my INR (blood test) now. I do not see him he just reads my lab tests and they call me. So no office call fee. My Dr switched it to him. Clinic was charging an office call . It is bounce around it seems. Eating out.

So how long will you have to wait for the results of the soil test? Sounds like there really is a problem of some kind.

Can get the water on down there. Corn was coming up and the lettise . Got free plants and put in. Haredware garden was getting rid of them. Got one herb plane.

In the picture above is a big tomato I've been keeping an eye on. Once they get a good color-change going, I pull them to avoid sun scald. So....this one was a little cat-faced but otherwise looked like it might make some good slices. Yesterday I started to pull it but waited til this morning, that was a boo-boo. Somehow it cracked from the heat or whatever and when I picked it at least a hundred tiny ants swarmed out of the under side and ran all up my arm. Disappointment don't cover it!
